Description

Crisis has a way of showing up in the most unexpected times and places. Dr. Moody wants ministry leaders and volunteers to be ready when crisis arises to be the first responders for those who are hurting. While many excel at meeting physical needs, believers are called upon to meet emotional needs as well. Dr. Moody is a qualified voice guiding the reader through proper ways to respond to those suffering and offer help that will lead to restoration. Both the emotional and spiritual needs are addressed through Scripture and biblical examples in this book. Dr. Moody prepares the reader to respond in ways that offer real hope for those who are hurting.

Dr. Moody provides a much-needed resource to equip ministry leaders to help those suffering. Readers will learn what they can do to help someone dealing with emotional hurts, addiction, or crisis. Moody shares many examples from the Bible of those dealing with issues still present in our modern times. The author also provides an extensive list of resources related to each topic including ways to contact those providing professional help when needed. This book gives an excellent overview of situations one may face in helping someone suffering from emotional issues, addiction, and mental health issues.
