Description
This booklet is a career missionary sharing her thoughts on the teaching of Scripture on the topic of missions. She begins with missions in the Old Testament and concludes with our mission today.
Laura Belle Barnard left her Georgia roots in 1935 to serve as a single missionary to South India. She served in India for 22 years with her legacy being two schools, four churches, and numerous Christian workers equipped and trained to continue her efforts. She also established Sunday schools across the area reaching an overwhelming number of children. After arriving stateside in 1957, she became the head of the missions program at Welch College in Nashville, Tennessee, where she trained many others for missionary service. She also found time to write. Her works include His Name Among All Nations and Touching the Untouchables. In 1992, Laura passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
