Abstract: Parents are given the role of chief spiritual influencers to their chil- dren. Throughout history, the church has been tasked to help support and equip parents to perform this task. This article explores pastors throughout history who have championed family ministry from their pulpits. The church has a record and examples of leadership training parents from the Patristic era to the Modern Age, and the church today would do well to follow their lead.
