The Authors
Richard Ross, Ph.D., is husband to LaJuana, who has joined him in a lifetime of loving teenagers and their families. They are the parents of Clayton. Richard served as a youth minister for thirty years and now is a volunteer leader with teenagers and parents at his church in Fort Worth. Richard is a professor to the next generation of youth ministers and family ministers at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth.
Since its inception, Richard has served as the spokesperson for the international True Love Waits movement. Richard has spoken at over 400 conventions, conferences, and churches—usually addressing issues related to parents and families. Richard has written/compiled over 20 books, including Parenting With Kingdom Purpose and 30 Days: Turning the Hearts of Parents and Teenagers Toward Each Other.
David Booth grew up in the Norfolk, Virginia area where he met Jesus, was called into vocational ministry, and started a family with his wife Christy. He and Christy are the proud parents of two girls and two boys, and David is “Poppy” to his two priceless granddaughters. He earned a Ph.D. from Southwestern Seminary’s School of Church and Family Ministries and serves First Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas as their discipleship and families pastor. David has served churches in Virginia, Georgia, and Texas. His life ambition is to leave a legacy of trusting and treasuring Jesus to his family and to the men and women he has served and known in 30 years of Christian ministry.
