Abstract: While much writing has been published about Jonathan Edwards, little focus has been given on Timothy Edwards. This article focuses on how Timothy discipled Jonathan based on his Puritan background and own spiritual disciplines and practices, demonstrating the elder Edwards’ significant influence over his son.
Kyle Taft, Ph.D., currently serves as a hospice chaplain with Mosaic Hos- pice in St Joseph, Missouri. He also serves as an adjunct professor at vari- ous institutions and a pulpit supply minister. He received his Ph.D. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.
